Count up the hours a large pond filter takes over a season and automation stops looking like a luxury. Our automatic PFC pressurised pond filters with built-in UV clarifiers are efficient self-cleaning units run by the simple turn of a dial. As with the manual PFC models, they are kept continually pressurised by your pond pump, which will help you maintain the best water quality for healthy pond fishkeeping.

Cleaning is motorised throughout. Turn the dial so the blue arrow points in the direction of the dirty water outlet, listen for the ‘beep’ marking the start of the cleaning process, and by the second ‘beep’ the PFC pond filter unit and sponges are clean. Beyond removing the manual labour, no part of the unit needs disassembling except when replacing foams or performing a full system clean.

Each automatic cleaning PFC pond filter is equipped with a built-in UV light, helping prevent algae growth and eliminating micro-organisms in the pond water which can lead to fish diseases.

Filtration

Water passes through the PFC-30000 in the following order:

1. Pond water flows into the PFC-30000 via your pond pump
2. Initial filtration begins by removing large particles through a mixture of coarse and fine filter foams (mechanical filtration)
3. Then the water passes across bio balls that harbour good bacteria across large surface area (biological filtration)
4. Lastly the exiting water is exposed to a 55w UV steriliser capable of reducing harmful bacteria and algae
5. Clean, clear and healthy water exits your PFC-30000 and returns to your pond.

The AquaECO series of pond pumps from AllPondSolutions uses innovative new electronics to bring massive energy savings, low noise and long durability while maintaining high performance. Compared to other pond pump brands the wattage use of the AquaECO range of pond pumps is extremely economical, saving you money in the long run.

The pump is designed to circulate water to a pond filter or waterfall, and its cage is specially designed to prevent clogging by providing the maximum surface area for drawing water in through the guard to the pump. An additional inlet is included with the AquaECO pump, allowing you to attach hose to the pump inlet and feed it directly from a source such as a pond skimmer.
