Wash it cool, dry the bed right through and give it a shake before it goes back down, and the fibre stays open and springy under the cover. If yours arrives vacuum-packed, allow a day or two for it to expand to its full thickness. Start with the size your dog stretches out to, then the shape that suits how they sleep.
