Pressurised Pond Filter with Built-in 18w UV 20000 Litres

The hardest part of pond filter maintenance is knowing when it is actually needed - clean too often and you strip the bacteria colony, leave it too long and flow collapses. The PFC-20000 takes the guesswork out with a small float that pops out of the head of the unit when a detailed clean is due.

Like the rest of our Pressurised Pond Filters with built-in UV Clarifiers, it is designed to be continuously pressurised by your pond pump, which is what maintains excellent water quality for healthy fishkeeping. Water travels directly from the pump into the filter container and out to the outlet, staying under pressure the whole way. Because pressure is retained, the outlet can sit higher than the filter body itself, so the unit is easier to disguise around the pond and particularly useful if you are incorporating a waterfall.

When that float does appear, cleaning means turning the rotating handle on the head. This rinses the interior sponge and reduces the need to dis-assemble anything. Afterwards, open the separate outlet and discharge the dirty water until it runs clean.

A built-in UV Light is fitted to every unit, effectively preventing growth of algae and eliminating harmful micro-organisms and parasites which may cause fish diseases.

Filtration

Water passes through the PFC-20000 in the following order:

1. Pond water flows into the PFC-20000 via your pond pump
2. Initial filtration begins by removing large particles through a mixture of coarse and fine filter foams (mechanical filtration)
3. Then the water passes across bio balls that harbour good bacteria across large surface area (biological filtration)
4. Lastly the exiting water is exposed to a 18w UV steriliser capable of reducing harmful bacteria and algae
5. Clean, clear and healthy water exits your PFC-20000 and returns to your pond.
