Plastic-bodied clarifiers have a hard life on a large pond: they go brittle, they discolour, and none of the ultraviolet output that misses the water on the first pass ever gets a second chance. The AllPondSolutions SSUV-110 answers both problems with a 110w stainless steel build that is up to 30% more effective than comparable plastic products, while its reflective body increases the effectiveness of UVC clarification by 50% or more. Overheating is handled automatically. The SSUV stainless steel pond steriliser carries built-in advanced thermal protection that shuts the unit down if it is in danger of running too hot; once it has cooled back to normal temperature it restarts and continues to operate.*

Plumbing is deliberately simple for a unit of this size. Water enters and leaves through a one in / one out system, and an array of attachments is supplied to suit either flexible hose or BSP pipe fittings. A transparent panel lets you confirm the UV is fully operational at any time.

Servicing the quartz sleeve is equally undemanding. Turn the ballast counter clockwise and gently pull it apart from the UV case for maintenance or replacement.

IMPORTANT: Before opening up the SSUV unit, ensure the system is off at the mains and that you shut off your pump / external filter. UV bulbs and quartz sleeves are very fragile - handle with care.
