Auto Clean PFC-75000 Pressurised Pond Filter

For ponds up to 75,000 litres

This is the largest filter in the automatic PFC range, specified for ponds of up to 75,000 litres and carrying roughly 10 litres of tumbling K2 media on top of its seven large foams and caged bio-balls.

Across the automatic PFC range, built-in UV clarifiers are paired with self-cleaning filter bodies that need nothing more than the turn of a dial. As with the manual PFC models, your pond pump keeps the unit continually pressurised, which is what sustains the water quality healthy pond fishkeeping depends on.

The motorised sponge cleaning system is what removes the chore. Turn the dial so the blue arrow points towards the dirty water outlet; a first 'beep' marks the start of the cleaning process and a second 'beep' tells you the unit and its sponges are clean. No part of the filter has to be taken apart at all, other than to replace foams or carry out a full system clean.

A UV light is built into every automatic cleaning PFC pond filter, helping to prevent algae growth and eliminating micro-organisms in the pond water which can lead to fish diseases.

Filtration

Water passes through the AUTO-PFC-75000 in the following order:

1. Pond water flows into the AUTO-PFC-75000 via your pond pump
2. Initial filtration begins by removing large particles through a mixture of coarse and fine filter foams (mechanical filtration)
3. Water passes through tumbling K2 media reduces harmful ammonia and nitrite from the water with the help of good bacteria (biological filtration)
4. Then the water passes across bio balls that harbour good bacteria across large surface area (biological filtration)
5. Lastly the exiting water is exposed to a 55w UV steriliser capable of reducing harmful bacteria and algae
6. Clean, clear and healthy water exits your AUTO-PFC-75000 and returns to your pond.
