Glass is the weak point of any aquarium heater, which is why the AllPondSolutions AH-200 uses 2 mm thick double insulated, shock-resistant glass rather than the thin tube found on cheaper units. Inside it, a chrome nickel helical heating coil is designed for maximum life and even heating, spreading warmth through the water instead of concentrating it at one point.

The heater is completely submersible and compatible with both fresh and saltwater. A heating light indicator shows at a glance when the element is drawing power, and an easy access temperature control dial adjusts the setting anywhere between 20-34 degrees.
