How to fit a slip lead
- Slip the loop over your dog's head so it sits high on the neck, just behind the ears.
- Slide the stopper down until the loop is snug – you should still fit two fingers underneath.
- Walk with the lead loose. If your dog pulls, the loop tightens gently; release the tension as soon as they ease off.
Good to know
- Never tie your dog up or leave them unattended on a slip lead.
- For flat-faced breeds or dogs with neck or breathing problems, a lead clipped to a harness may be more comfortable.
