Pressurised Pond Filter with Built-in 11w UV 12000 Litres and AQUAECO-8000 Complete Pond Filter System

Stocking level, not surface area, is what decides whether a filter copes. This system is designed for decorative ponds up to 12000 litres, small fish and Koi up to 9000 litres, heavily stocked Koi up to 6000 litres – so you can size it against what actually lives in the water.

This Pressurised Pond Filter with built-in UV is designed to be continuously pressurised by the supplied 10000 l/h Pond Pump, maintaining excellent water quality for healthy fishkeeping.

Water is fed directly from your pond pump through to the filter container and subsequently the outlet, continuously under pressure. Because the outlet can sit higher than the filter body itself, the unit is far easier to disguise around the pond – particularly useful if a waterfall is part of the plan.

Routine cleaning is handled by the rotating handle on the head. Turn it and the interior sponge is rinsed in place; open the separate outlet afterwards and dirty water is discharged until it runs clean. A small float pops out of the head when a detailed clean is genuinely needed, so you are not guessing.

Each unit is supplied with a built-in UV Light, which effectively prevents growth of algae and eliminates harmful micro-organisms and parasites which may cause fish diseases.

Please note; Flexible hose is not included in with this product bundle and will need to be purchased separately.

Filtration

Water passes through the PFC-12000 in the following order

1. Pond water flows into the PFC-12000 via your pond pump
2. Initial filtration begins by removing large particles through a mixture of coarse and fine filter foams (mechanical filtration)
3. Then the water passes across bio balls that harbour good bacteria across large surface area (biological filtration)
4. Lastly the exiting water is exposed to a 11w UV steriliser capable of reducing harmful bacteria and algae
5. Clean, clear and healthy water exits your PFC-12000 and returns to your pond.
