About the AllPondsolutions 500L/H Hang On Aquarium External Filter HOB-500
Some tanks simply have no interior space to give up – every litre is spoken for by fish, plants and hardscape. The HOB-500 solves that by living outside the glass: the housing hangs on the rim, freeing the whole tank while still delivering 500 L/H of filtration to fresh or salt water aquariums of up to 250 litres. Flow can be turned down or up to match the aquarium it is working on.
How it works
A vertical plastic inlet tube lifts water from the tank into a large filter chamber. Inside, it passes through a set of media-filled baskets that between them provide mechanical, biological and chemical filtration (media for the baskets is sold separately). Treated water then rejoins the aquarium through either the nozzle outlet or the spray bar, whichever you fit.
