AllPondSolutions 2000L/H Aquarium External Filter EFX

Buying a filter with headroom saves buying a second one later. The EFX is the 2000L/H model in the new and improved EF range of external fish tank filters from AllPondSolutions, and it is the one to choose when the tank is large or the stocking is heavy.

The EF range corrected a number of things about its predecessor: priming is easier and more consistent, and the body design is stronger and more durable. Existing fittings were given particular attention for marine fish keepers so they last longer in a salt water environment. On top of those changes, every filter is now supplied with a full 2 years warranty for that extra peace of mind.

Filtration works in stages. Aquarium tank water is drawn through multiple internal layered baskets filled with assorted filter media material, giving extremely thorough biological, mechanical and chemical filtration.

Each external filter we make operates exactly as our internal powerhead filters do, but is designed to sit outside the tank. Water enters through an inlet tube and returns crystal clear through an outlet tube (both supplied), and the outlet is fitted with a spray-bar to help increase oxygen aeration levels within the tank. These filters free up space within the tank and provide a huge internal capacity for filter media, making them suitable for larger volume tanks.

Ceramic rings, bio balls, activated carbon and fine floss filter foam are included with each model. Filtering through the provided media produces a vastly improved level of waste-free water through extremely strong biological purification, and the easy-access layered filter media baskets make it simple to customise your media choices to suit your aquarium and fish livestock needs.

Maintaining the filter is very simple. The drip-free shut-off tap allows you to remove the filter and transport it away from the aquarium fish tank to an area more suitable for cleaning. Each filter media basket lifts smoothly out of the unit, can be easily rinsed through and returned to continue its operation.

Please note the pipework skimmer part included on the packaging is NOT included and might differ from the pipework provided with the filter. This does not affect the filter’s functionality.
