AllPondSolutions 1400L/H Aquarium External Filter EF2

A canister filter runs continuously for years, so the parts that fail first tend to be the ones nobody thinks about at purchase: the seals, the fittings, the priming mechanism. Rebuilding those is what produced the new and improved EF range of external fish tank filters from AllPondSolutions, and the EF2 is the 1400 Litres per Hour model within it, rated for tanks up to 600 Litres.

The improvements over the previous range include easier and more consistent priming, and a stronger, more durable body design. Existing fittings were given particular attention for marine fish keepers so that they last longer in a salt water environment. Each filter now ships with a full 2 years warranty for that extra peace of mind.

Inside, a multi-stage approach applies. Aquarium water travels through multiple internal layered baskets filled with assorted filter media material, providing extremely thorough biological, mechanical and chemical filtration.

Every external filter we make performs the same function as our internal powerhead filters but is designed to be positioned outside the tank. Water is drawn in via an inlet tube and returned crystal clear via an outlet tube (both supplied). The outlet tube carries a spray-bar to help increase oxygen aeration levels within the tank. These filters free up space inside the display and provide a huge internal capacity for filter media, making them suitable for larger volume tanks.

Ceramic rings, bio balls, activated carbon and fine floss filter foam are included with every model. Filtering through the provided media produces a vastly improved level of waste-free water through extremely strong biological purification, and the easy-access layered baskets make it simple to customise your media choices to suit your aquarium and fish livestock needs.

Maintaining the filter is very simple. The drip-free shut-off tap allows you to remove the filter and transport it away from the aquarium fish tank to an area more suitable for cleaning. Each filter media basket lifts smoothly out of the unit, can be easily rinsed through and returned to continue its operation.

Please note the pipework skimmer part included on the packaging is NOT included and might differ from the pipework provided with the filter. This does not affect the filter’s functionality.
