AllPondSolutions 1000L/H Aquarium External Filter EF1

If your last external filter fought you every time you tried to prime it, or gave up early because salt water got the better of its fittings, the EF1 is the answer to both complaints. It heads up the new and improved EF range of external fish tank filters from AllPondSolutions and moves 1000 Litres per Hour.

What changed? Priming is easier and far more consistent than on the range it replaces, and the body has been rebuilt to be stronger and more durable. Fittings were specifically reworked with marine keepers in mind so they last longer in a salt water environment. Every unit also ships with a full 2 years warranty for extra peace of mind.

Filtration is handled in stages. Aquarium water travels through multiple internal layered baskets, each packed with a different filter media material, delivering extremely thorough biological, mechanical and chemical filtration.

Like every external in our range, the EF1 performs the same task as an internal powerhead filter but is designed to sit outside the tank. Water is drawn in through an inlet tube and comes back crystal clear through an outlet tube (both supplied). A spray-bar on the outlet helps increase oxygen aeration levels within the tank. Positioning the hardware outside frees up space in the display and leaves a huge internal capacity for filter media, which is what makes these units suitable for larger volume tanks.

Ceramic rings, bio balls, coarse foam and fine floss filter foam all come as standard. Running the tank on the provided media gives a vastly improved level of waste-free water through extremely strong biological purification, and the easy-access layered baskets make it simple to customise your media choices to suit your aquarium and fish livestock needs.

Maintenance is very simple. The drip-free shut-off tap lets you take the filter away from the aquarium to an area more suitable for cleaning. Each media basket lifts smoothly out of the unit, rinses through easily and returns to continue its operation.

Please note the pipework skimmer part included on the packaging is NOT included and might differ from the pipework provided with the filter. This does not affect the filter’s functionality.
