Where these numbers come from
Our litter packs say to fill a tray to about 7cm, and that an average tray takes roughly 5L. Our guide How Long Does Cat Litter Last? puts a full change at every two to three weeks if you scoop daily.
This estimate covers full changes only. Clumping litter is meant to be scooped daily and topped up in between, and we do not publish a figure for how much that adds — so rather than invent one, treat this as a baseline and expect to use a little more.
