The AllPondSolutions Solar Automatic Feeder takes the job over completely - it charges itself, holds 6 litres of food and keeps to a schedule whether you are in the garden or away for a fortnight, which makes it well suited to bigger ponds where large quantities of pellets are fed frequently throughout the day.

It handles 3-10mm medium/large pellets and pond sticks, and the food compartment is transparent so you can see at a glance when to top up. A couple of hours of charging is enough for the rechargeable 2200mA lithium battery to then run for at least 3 months on its own power, depending on the timer setting.

Programming is done on a large, clear display. You can choose 3 different speeds and up to six daily feeding times to suit the size of the pond and the number of fish, and the food is propelled at a wide 120-degree angle so it reaches the edges of the pond more easily instead of dropping in one spot.
